WILL I BE CHARGED A TRANSACTION FEE EVERY TIME I MAKE A PURCHASE WITH MY HERITAGE CARD?
No. While other companies may try to "nickel-and-dime" you by charging a transaction fee up to $1.00 every time you make a purchase, your Heritage Card does NOT charge you a fee for signature based transactions. Rest assured, when you buy something as little as a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk, you won't be charged another $1.00!
ARE THERE ANY OTHER ONGOING FEES?
Yes, but we've made sure to keep them at a minimum. All cardholder fees are clearly stated in the Cardholder Agreement Terms and Conditions you will receive along with your card in the mail. Be sure to take the time to read it.
HOW DO I ADD MONEY TO MY HERITAGE CARD?
Simply stop by any authorized Heritage location with your card and the amount of money you would like to place on your card. Within 15 minutes your card will be loaded. It's that simple.
WHERE CAN I LOAD MONEY ON MY CARD?
At any authorized location, such as ACE Cash Plus, Bank of America, and Western Union. For more information contact Customer Service.
HOW DO I GET MY PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (PIN)?
Once you receive your card in the mail, you'll be asked to call a toll-free number to activate your card and to choose a four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) that you will need to get your money from an ATM. Memorize your PIN and keep it to yourself. DO NOT write your PIN on the back of your card.
HOW CAN I CHECK MY BALANCE OR MY CARD PURCHASE HISTORY?
You may check your card balance or review your purchase history in one of two convenient ways:
1. Visit myheritagecard.com online (FREE)
2. Call a special toll-free number and follow our easy-to-use automated system
What's more, you may request a summary statement of all your purchases and card activity be mailed to you each month.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE MY HERITAGE CARD OR IT IS STOLEN?
Don't worry. Just be sure to immediately call customer service and notify us that your card was lost or stolen. A new card will be issued to you with a new number. Your balance will be transferred to the new card and you will be charged a minimal lost card fee. See Cardholder Agreement Terms and Conditions for complete details.
CAN I SPEND MORE MONEY THAN I HAVE ON THE CARD?
No. You can only make purchases up to the amount of money you have on your Card.
WHAT IS A MERCHANT AUTHORIZATION?
Good question. When you present your Heritage Card to a merchant they may run an authorization to make sure enough money is on your card to complete your purchase. Except for Car Rental authorizations, merchant authorizations remain on your card for 7 days and will reduce your available balance until the actual purchase amount settles through MasterCard ® or Visa ®.
IF I RETURN MERCHANDISE THAT I BOUGHT WITH MY HERITAGE CARD, WILL I GET MY MONEY BACK?
Yes. The dollar amount of your purchase will be placed back on your card. Like any other MasterCard ® or Visa ®, credits and refunds will typically be placed back on your card within 2-4 business days.
HOW LONG CAN I USE MY HERITAGE CARD? IS THERE AN EXPIRATION DATE?
Your Heritage Card will expire 12 months from the date it was ordered by you. Your expiration date can be found next to your name on the front of your card. A NEW card will automatically be sent to you a month prior to your current card's expiration date, so long as you have enough money available to cover the cost of issuing your NEW card. WHAT HAPPENS IF I STILL HAVE MONEY ON MY HERITAGE CARD WHEN IT EXPIRES?
Good question. Any money on your Heritage Card will automatically be transferred to your NEW card.

| Your money is safe when you use your card. All cards are FDIC insured and backed by MasterCard® or Visa®. If your card is lost or stolen another will be immediately issued and sent upon notification. Your card will arrive with your funds in place. |
